HANCOCK -- Eight properties changed hands in Hancock between Aug. 7 and Sept. 5, but only two of the recorded deeds disclosed a sale price, ranging from $81,486 to $110,000, according to Northern Berkshire Registry of Deeds records.

Of those, two included a disclosed consideration amount: $81,486 and $110,000, for a median of $95,743 among the disclosed sales. The remaining six transfers did not list a sale price, which is common in deed records and does not necessarily mean no money changed hands. Eight total transfers over the four-week period is a moderate raw count, but with price data available for only two of them, the figures offer a limited basis for judging whether the period was active or quiet.

TOP SALES The two transactions with disclosed prices were the highest and lowest of the period.

37 Corey Road sold for $110,000 on Aug. 10. Paul W. Mark was the seller; Greylock Federal Credit Union was the buyer.

9123 Mountainside sold for $81,486 on Aug. 11. Stephen and Anita Carballeira were the sellers; Figure Lending LLC and Dart Collateral Manager LLC were the buyers.

No other transfer recorded in the period listed a sale price, so no additional properties can be ranked among the top sales.

NEIGHBORHOOD BREAKDOWN Corey Road: Four of the eight recorded transfers involved property on Corey Road, more than any other street in the period. They included the $110,000 sale at 37 Corey Road; a companion transfer at the same address referencing Deed Book 1926, Page 600, again listing Paul W. Mark as seller with no buyer or price disclosed; and two transfers referencing Deed Book 1244, Page 21, one for a unit numbered 9401 with Martin Oszmian as seller and one for the main address with Bonnie Oszmian and Shira O.
