SHEFFIELD -- Eleven deeds recorded in Sheffield in October ranged from a $120,000 transfer to a $826,000 sale, with four of the month's 11 transactions clustered on Hewins Street and several others involving banks or credit unions as a buyer or seller.

MARKET OVERVIEW The Southern Berkshire Registry of Deeds recorded 11 Sheffield transactions in October, but only five carried a sale price by the time this roundup was compiled; the remaining six are listed as price not yet available. Among the five priced sales, prices ranged from $120,000 to $826,000, with a median of $255,000. A count of 11 deeds in a single month is a moderate volume for a town of Sheffield's size, though with more than half of October's transactions still missing price data, a fuller picture of the month's market will emerge as those figures are added to the registry.

TOP SALES The month's highest-priced transaction was 64 Hewins St., which sold for $826,000 on Oct. 5. Michael C. Burns and Jessica W. Burns were the sellers; Lee Bank was the buyer. At 1786 South Undermountain Rd., the property sold for $400,000 on Oct. 13. Nina Bluhm was the seller; Lemon Properties LLC was the buyer. A property at 179 Root Ln. sold for $255,000 on Oct. 8. Joseph OBrien and Ashley Davis were the sellers; NBT Bank NA was the buyer. A Sheffield property, listed in deed records without a street address, sold for $200,000 on Oct. 14. Olifi Properties LLC was the seller; James Davies and Olivia Scanlon were the buyers. At 471 Alum Hill Rd., the property sold for $120,000 on Oct. 13.
