Peru Town Board approves revised building permit fees and nine resolutions at July 27 meeting. A resolution to extend temporary code officer Steve Imhoff's contract for three months at $750 per week was tabled after Vivo told the board he relies on Imhoff three to four hours in person and four to five phone calls daily, saying of the upcoming fire department project: "the opportunity or the possibilities, if you will, of something getting overlooked or missed is astronomical." The board closed by approving $1,079,758.12 in claims for July 2026.
