MONTEREY -- Eight property deeds were recorded in Monterey between July 10 and Aug. 8, but only four included a disclosed sale price, ranging from $30,000 to $1,195,000 with a median of $275,000 among those four.

10 Buckingham Lane sold for $1,195,000 on July 10, the highest-priced transfer of the period. The sellers were listed as Amanda Redler and Adam Schouela; the buyers were listed as Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems Inc. and Eastern Bank.

25 Fox Hill Road sold for $400,000 on July 30. The seller was listed as Matthew A. Amstead; the buyer was listed as Lee Bank.

20 Elephant Rock Road sold for $150,000 on July 20. The seller was listed as Katherine Karnoupakis; the buyers were listed as Robert E. Brown and Priscilla T. Brown.

453 Main Road sold for $30,000 on Aug. 3. The sellers were listed as Michael F. Carroll and Cara M. Carroll; the buyer was listed as Greylock Federal Credit Union.

Beds, baths and square footage were not available in the deed data for any of the recorded transfers.

MARKET NOTES

Three of the eight recorded deeds listed a bank or credit union as the buyer: Greylock Federal Credit Union (453 Main Road), Lee Bank (25 Fox Hill Road), and Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems Inc. together with Eastern Bank (10 Buckingham Lane). A fourth transfer, 185 Beartown Mountain Road, listed Berkshire Bank as the seller and Terrence Webb as the buyer. That is four of eight recorded deeds, half the period's total, involving a bank or credit union as either grantor or grantee, a pattern distinct from the other transfers in this dataset, which were recorded between individual buyers and sellers.

Two transfers involved estates: 18 Limerock Lane, with the seller listed as the Estate of Norma Kerlinsky, and 17 Brook Lane, with sellers listed as the Estate of Karen C.
