STOCKBRIDGE — The Stockbridge Community Preservation Committee set its funding calendar for the FY28 cycle, locking in an October 26 public hearing and a November 13 application deadline. Members reported the committee has distributed more than $6 million since its inception and logged $105,000 in investment earnings in 2025, roughly double a typical year, which staff member Erica attributed to shifting funds "to actual investment accounts versus just in the bank account." The committee set a November 20 meeting to formally consider and vote on applications, with a December 4 backup meeting scheduled in case deliberations run long. Members estimated the town will see roughly $350,000 in transfer tax revenue for the coming cycle, on top of a $110,000 state match reported for the prior year.
No formal votes were taken; the calendar was set by consensus.
