Alford's Only Priced Sale This Period Closes At $750,000 So Far

ALFORD -- Two property transfers were recorded in Alford between Aug. 28 and Sept. 26, one a $750,000 sale and the other a transfer to the town's conservation program with a price not yet available.

With only two transactions recorded this period, the dataset is too limited to calculate a median sale price or identify market trends. The two deeds are summarized individually below rather than grouped into the usual market sections.

The higher-value transaction is at 150 Green River Valley Rd., which sold for $750,000 on Sept. 25. The sellers were John Raifstanger III and John T. Raifstanger.

The second transfer is at 87 Whites Hill Rd., recorded Sept. 21. A sale price is not yet available. The sellers were Mark Batten and Margaret Batten, and the buyer was Alford Town Conservation.

Because one of the two transfers went to Alford Town Conservation rather than a private buyer, and because only one of the two prices has posted so far, this period's data does not support broader conclusions about pricing, inventory or overall market conditions in Alford.
