Margaret Lindley Park Reopens as Water Tests Clear Bacteria Concern

Margaret Lindley Park's swimming area is back open as of Monday after water-quality tests confirmed bacterial counts have returned to safe levels, giving residents a green light for the Fourth of July holiday stretch.

**TOWN HALL**

The town's Health Department issued a reopening notice Monday for the Margaret Lindley Park swimming area, which had been closed since June 24 following test results showing elevated bacteria levels. New samples collected June 29 confirmed the water is back within safe ranges, and the area is open going forward.

Residents should also note that Town Hall will be closed Friday, July 3, in observance of the Fourth of July holiday.

On a separate note, free outdoor fitness classes continue every Wednesday at 7:30 a.m. at the Fitness Court through the end of July — no registration required.

**COMMUNITY & ARTS**

The Williamstown Cultural District has an open call running for the Eyes on Art Town banner project, which places local artwork on streetlight banners along Spring and Latham Streets each fall. Artists have until Sunday, July 6, to submit work through the town's Cultural District portal.

The Agricultural Commission's Open Farm Day is coming up Sunday, July 12, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Visitors can shop for vegetables, meats, eggs, and syrups, walk farm trails, and join guided tours at local farms.
