Williamstown Opens Early Voting Monday Ahead of Sept. 1 Primary

Williamstown residents can begin casting ballots in person starting Monday for the September 1 State Primary, with the town offering five straight days of early voting and a hard deadline this week for anyone still hoping to vote by mail.

The town has set in-person early voting hours of 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily from Monday, August 24, through Friday, August 28, at Town Hall, 31 North St., ahead of the State Primary. Voters who prefer to cast a ballot by mail face a hard cutoff: the Town Clerk's office must receive vote-by-mail applications by 5 p.m. Tuesday, August 25. The early-voting window gives residents an alternative to lining up on primary day itself, which falls September 1 at the Williamstown Elementary School gymnasium.

The Select Board meets Monday, August 24, at 7 p.m., available both in person at 31 North St. and streamed live on Willinet.org and Spectrum TV Channel 1303. The Conservation Commission holds its next meeting Thursday, August 27, at 7 p.m., also offered in hybrid format. The State Primary Election takes place Tuesday, September 1, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Williamstown Elementary School.
