Williamstown Closes Friday for Juneteenth, Directs Residents to Three Celebrations

Town offices will close Friday in observance of Juneteenth as the town points residents toward celebrations at three local venues, while Town Clerk Nicole Beverly is set to give a public primer on her office later this week.

TOWN HALL

Williamstown will observe Juneteenth — a federal holiday — on Friday, June 19, with all municipal offices closed for the day. The town is encouraging residents to mark the occasion by visiting the Milne Public Library, the Clark Art Institute, and the Williamstown Historical Museum, each of which is hosting Juneteenth programming.

Town Clerk Nicole Beverly will appear at the Milne Public Library Community Room on Wednesday, June 17, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. as part of the Citizens' Academy series. Beverly will walk attendees through the roles and responsibilities of the Town Clerk's office; residents are invited to bring questions.
