General Dynamics Wins $44.8 Million Navy Contract for Pittsfield Plant

PITTSFIELD — General Dynamics has been awarded a $44.8 million U.S. Navy contract that will send the bulk of the work, 85 percent, to its Pittsfield facility, according to a report from Investing.com. The news came as the city announced its next round of street microsurfacing, set to begin Monday.

TOWN HALL The city announced Friday that a batch of streets will receive a microsurfacing treatment on Monday, Aug. 31, and Tuesday, Sept. 1, the latest phase of Pittsfield's ongoing street improvement program.
