Select Board · Meeting of October 20, 2026
LEE — The Select Board kept a single tax rate for FY27 and adopted new debt and reserve policies. Assessor Sarah Navin reported $13,839,840 in new growth and $33,422,126.56 in excess levy capacity, and the board accepted the assessors' recommendation unanimously. Staff said the policies, which limit borrowing to capital projects lasting at least 10 years and create a water and sewer reserve, come ahead of planned long-term borrowing for the public safety building.
The board also created a Cultural District Steering Committee presented by Town Planner Brooke Healy, targeting a February application, and appointed Brian Huntley as a police officer, with a hoped-for start date of Nov. 3. Only two members attended.
