Select Board · Meeting of June 11, 2026
NORTH ADAMS — The Codification Review Committee recommended deleting the slaughterhouse license in Section 12-10 and the keg license sections, 12-13.2 through 12-13.7, with three ayes on each vote. Members also approved wording fixes across Chapter 12, including a switch to a "Department of Inspection Services" for lodging house and tag sale inspections and moving a $100 tag sale fine to Appendix D. The committee raised the tobacco age in Chapter 14 from 18 to 21 and added vape, and referred Chapter 13 and the firearms section to the administration. The mayor said the fee language in Section 12-2 was too broad, because "all of the departments collect fees." That item was held over to the next meeting.
