The committee unanimously approved four accounts payable warrants totaling $334,607.48 and two payroll warrants totaling $751,630.87 at its May 12 meeting, held in hybrid format at Lee Middle and High School. The superintendent announced that the state has determined the district is no longer "in need of assistance" for special education services, ending two years of required root-cause reporting and state compliance protocols — a status the district's special education director and staff were credited with reversing through demonstrated student outcomes. Kindergarten registration stands at 38 packets received, with nine of ten school choice seats filled, and the superintendent cautioned that reaching 40 enrollees could require a third kindergarten section.
