Dalton Senior Center to Present Cyclist's Cuba Adventure Talk

Cyclist Laurie Martinelli will share stories and photos from a two-week trip pedaling across Cuba during a free presentation at the Dalton Senior Center next week, one of the few concrete items on the town's calendar this week.

Martinelli will recount her ride through Cuba with the tour outfitter Intrepid Travel, during which she and 13 other cyclists covered 25 to 30 miles a day, passing through mountains, protected biospheres, UNESCO World Heritage sites and stretches of Cuban street culture and history over two weeks. The talk is set for Wednesday, July 22, at 1 p.m. at the Dalton Senior Center, 40 Field St. Extension. Residents with questions can call the center at 413-684-2000.
