Crews Begin Work on County, Yokum Pond and Tyne Roads

BECKET — Crews have begun work on County Road, Yokum Pond Road and Tyne Road between Route 8 and the Becket/Lee town line, including the Yokum Pond Road bridge project, the town announced this week. Separately, the town is calling for volunteers to help launch a new Swap Shop at the Transfer Station, set to open this summer.

TOWN HALL

The town's News Flash confirms construction is underway on County, Yokum Pond and Tyne roads between Route 8 and the Becket/Lee line, a project that includes replacing the Yokum Pond Road bridge. Drivers in that stretch of town should expect ongoing construction activity in the days ahead.

The town is also seeking volunteers to staff a new Swap Shop at the Transfer Station, which is planned to open this summer. Residents interested in helping get the reuse program running are asked to reach out to Town Hall.
