Berkshire Regional Transit Authority Ridership Hits Record High

PITTSFIELD — The Berkshire Regional Transit Authority logged more than 731,000 rides over the past year, a record for the Pittsfield-based agency, according to WAMC.

TOWN HALL The Berkshire Regional Transit Authority, headquartered in Pittsfield, closed out its most recent year with total ridership topping 731,000 trips across its bus routes — the highest annual figure in the agency's history, WAMC reported. The milestone marks a high point in ridership for the regional bus system, which carries riders throughout Pittsfield and the surrounding Berkshire County communities it serves.
