Becket Transfer Station closes Friday for Fourth of July holiday weekend
**Friday, July 3** — The Becket Transfer Station will be closed tomorrow, Saturday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day. The station will reopen Tuesday, July 7.
**Friday, July 3, 11:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.** — The LGBTQ+ Pride Art Exhibit continues today at the Becket Athenaeum, free and open to the public. The exhibit has been running through this week and today is the final day before the holiday weekend.
**Saturday, July 4 (all day)** — Transfer Station closure is in effect for the Fourth of July holiday. Residents with permits expiring June 30 are reminded that new permits are required and can be purchased online or at Town Hall Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
**Saturday, July 4, 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.** — A Book and Bake Sale Fundraiser runs Saturday and continues Sunday, July 5, same hours, offering residents a holiday-weekend stop for books and baked goods.
