Williamstown seeks new Superintendent of Public Works
WILLIAMSTOWN — The town is recruiting for a new Superintendent of Public Works while residents gathered Tuesday evening for the annual National Night Out celebration at The Spruces.

The Town of Williamstown announced it is searching for a new Superintendent of Public Works, calling for "an experienced, collaborative, and innovative leader" to take on the role, according to the town's News Flash feed. The posting comes as the town continues to manage ongoing infrastructure and public works needs.
Separately, the Treasurer/Collector's Office will close from Tuesday, August 11, through Thursday, August 13, while staff attend a conference and training session, the town announced. Residents with time-sensitive treasury or tax business should plan around the closure.
The Williamstown Council on Aging continues its weekly Weight Training classes at The Harper Center, held Tuesdays at 4 p.m. with instructor Christy Abel, part of the senior center's ongoing August programming.

National Night Out took place Tuesday, August 4, from 4 to 7 p.m. at The Spruces on Main Street, giving residents a chance to meet with town public safety and community groups in the annual crime-prevention and neighborhood outreach event.
