Berkshire County Historical Society plans Moby-Dick read-a-thon at Arrowhead

PITTSFIELD — The Berkshire County Historical Society is preparing a community read-a-thon at Arrowhead, Herman Melville's Pittsfield home, to mark the 175th anniversary of "Moby-Dick," according to a report from WAMC.

The historical society, which operates Arrowhead as a museum and historic site, is organizing the read-a-thon to celebrate the milestone anniversary of the novel Melville wrote while living in Pittsfield. Further scheduling details for the event were not yet available.
